Dorsal spines (total): 8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 8. Tan or whitish with a broad, blackish mid-lateral stripe which extends to end caudal fin, and 1-2 narrow, dark stripes above (Ref. 2334).
